CPR for an Infant (< 1 year old)

Start CPR if an infant is unresponsive and not breathing or only gasping.

CPR Cycle

Each cycle starts with 30 chest compressions,

then 2 breaths

(If drowning is the cause of cardiac arrest, delivery 2 initial breaths before starting CPR cycle)

Two-finger technique

Encircling thumbs technique

Head-tilt, chin-lift with the head placed in a neutral position
